Who am I, to write your personalized song?
I began writing songs in fourth grade, when I composed the class hit, "His Name Is Mr. Washington," for our Presidents Day play. Next came a national anthem for some poor country that won a gold in the Olympics, but didn't have anything to play at the ceremony. (I didn't submit it to them, however. I'm keeping it in case I should found my own country.) Since then, here's what I've been doing:
-
My song "Can We" won third place in Israel's national English song contest.
-
Israel radio put my Hebrew hit "Ma Lekha" at number 7 on their annual Hassidic top twenty.
-
I have twice been a guest on Rock and Roll hall-of-famer Joey Reynolds' syndicated radio show.
-
I've recorded two albums of Hebrew music, and am working on an English one.
-
People from as far away as South Korea and Hawaii have purchased my CDs.
My Musical Background?
-
I've studied piano and been a Beethoven fanatic since I was yay tall.
-
Got a BA in music theory and performance from Yeshiva University in NY.
-
Studied voice with Patrick Wickham in NY.
-
Studied musical theatre with Broadway diva Kimberly Vaughn in NY.
-
Studied acting with Academy Award winner Polina Klimovitskaya.
So can I create in a style you like?
-
Probably, since I've done everything from Hassidic to pop ballads, to Latin rhythms.
-
I've written two cabaret shows with music from theatrical to folk to rock.
-
I've done jingles for infomercials.
-
I've written a full length screenplay with music. Still available for production.
-
I've done stand-up comedy and improv shows.
-
I'm currently working on a pop-theatrical crossover album.
Will I get you a good technical quality product?
-
I'm not a professional sound engineer, however recording and mixing two albums has taught me a lot.
-
I have a home studio which enables me to create inexpensive quality recordings.
-
I've prepared custom midi files, soundtracks for choirs and original arrangements.
